This article is about a school in the Big 12 Conference.


The University of Nebraska is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. It has traditionally been a football powerhouse, having won several national championships in the sport. It beat Kansas 36 straight times before Kansas finally won 40-15 in 2005, resulting in one goalpost ending up in Potter Lake and the other ending up on Mass Street. Although Nebraska ended winning in overtime in 2006, Kansas embarrassed Nebraska 76-39 in 2007. Nebraska's mascot is the Cornhusker, and its current football coach is Bo Pelini.

Nebraska has not been so successful in basketball, and Kansas fans tend to look forward to the two games against Nebraska every year as some of the easier games on the schedule.
