- April 9: Summerfield Hall is dedicated.
- Lewis Hall is constructed.
- Hashinger Hall opens as an all Women's Dorm.
- The Men's Football team beats Missouri 23-7 to take the Big 8 title. However, this game was later reversed due to the Jayhawk's use of an ineligible player, giving Missouri the title.
- Franklin Murphy ends his term as KU's 9th chancellor.
- W. Clarke Wescoe begins his term as KU's 10th chancellor.
